From April 11, 2019, through April 21, 2019, 31,000 UFCW members at Stop & Shops across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island stagged a historic strike to fight back against corporate greed. The Western Connecticut Area Labor Federation was right their alongside our brothers and sisters in their fight for a fair contract.
Solidarity Bucks - Before a strike was called the Western Connecticut Area Labor Federation in coordination with our Western CT Central Labor Coalition Chapter created Solidarity Bucks to show our support. We used this Solidarity Bucks to canvass store customers and to discourage would be customers from crossing the line during the strike.
