10:45 am Bridgeport City Hall - 45 Lyon Terrace BridgeportThis ceremony marks the 32ndanniversary of the L’Ambiance Plaza collapse that took place on April 23, 1987. Due to faulty lift slab construction, twenty eight (28) workers were crushed to death at the site of the L’Ambiance development.
Every year, organized labor, family members and friends have gathered to remember and pay tribute to the workers who died, their families, the rescue workers and all those who assisted in any way during and after the collapse.
