UFCW Strike (Stop&Shop) April 11, 2019 through April 21, 2019

For ten days in April 2019, our union brothers and sisters stagged a historical strike fighting for a fair contract. The Western Connecticut Area Labor Federation was there for these workers throughout their stuggle. The Western CT Area Labor Federation in coordination with the Western CT Central Labor Chapter developed Solidairty Bucks that were used to inform the public of their struggle. These Solidairty Bucks spread through social media and were handed out by striking workers at the entrance to stores.
